Chandler McBride, CLU®

I joined the Straight Path team in 2026. Prior to joining the team, I worked as an insurance broker for a large brokerage, helping match people and businesses with the best health plans to fit their needs. I earned my bachelor's degree majoring in both accounting and finance at Grand Valley State University Seidman College of Business. I continued my education at The American College of Financial Services, earning the Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation. Additionally, I serve as treasurer on the Board of Directors for Hope United, a nonprofit uniting churches to serve the community in Saint Joseph County, Michigan.

As an independent broker, I help clients navigate health insurance at every stage of life, including the transition many people face when retiring early: bridging the gap with an ACA marketplace plan until they age into Medicare, then guiding them through that switch when the time comes. I work with both Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage plans, allowing me to lay out both structures and help clients determine which option best fits their needs. As a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), I’ve also studied the practical, legal, and ethical sides of life insurance underwriting and risk management in depth, which allows me to look beyond the surface of a policy and evaluate how it can help protect a client’s estate, business, or family long-term. I bring that same level of scrutiny to every recommendation so clients aren’t just buying a product, they’re getting a plan that fits their needs and holds up over time.

Outside of work, I am heavily involved in my church, participating in small groups during the week and teaching youth on Sunday mornings. Additionally, as treasurer of Hope United, I also lead and participate in various fundraisers throughout the year. For fun, I love spending time with friends, traveling with my fiancé, finding new restaurants, and, in the fall, watching football.
